IMPORTANT

 PS 108Q is a peanut/nut free school.  Nuts, peanuts or any products containing nuts or 

peanuts are NOT allowed in the classrooms. 

REMINDERS

The first day of school for 2024-25 is Thursday, September 5th, 2024.  Students Grades 1 - 5 will attend a full day and will have regular dismissal as listed in "School Dismissal Times and Locations" below.

Incoming Kindergarten Students - September 2024 

To ensure a smooth transition for our students and families, we will be hosting a Kindergarten Orientation on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 so   students and families can meet their teacher and learn more about our Kindergarten program.

Only ONE parent/guardian will be permitted to accompany your child on Orientation Day.  

Please bring your child's labeled school supplies. Supply lists located in the link above.

Please locate your child's class and adhere to the following schedule:

        9:30 am - 10:00 am  - This group will enter through the Silver Doors located on 109th street at 9:30 am 

K-204 - Ms. Carson

K/1-214 - Ms. Giallanzo

K-216 - Ms. Cervini and Ms. Damiani

        10:30 am - 11:00 am  - This group will enter through the Front Doors located on 109th Avenue at 10:30 am

K-218 - Ms. Vitrano and Ms. Degen

        11:30 am - 12:00 pm  - This group will enter through the Front Doors located on 109th Avenue at 11:30 am

To ensure a smooth transition for our students and families, we will be adhering to the following staggered schedule to students and families can become acclimated to their classrooms, staff and routines.

Parents and Guardians attend school with 3K and PreK children on Thursday, September 5, 2024

FOR 3K and PRE - K STUDENTS:

Thursday, September 5th (with Parents)  -    Group A - 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Group B - 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Friday, September 6th (Students Only) - Group A - 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Group B - 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Monday, September 9th - 9:00 am - 11:30 am (all students)

Tuesday, September 10th - 9:00 am - 11:30 am (all students)

Wednesday, September 11th - Regular school schedule for all students (7:50 am - 1:50 pm)

Students and parents will enter the main entrance located on 109th Avenue each day at the assigned start time.
